I cut hair by day and school people on sports by night! I have that firey passion for pretty much all sports except a select few. So check out what I have to say.

Jay Cutler Bad for Morale?

So I have a theory, just hear me out or get all pissy because my opinion upsets you. I really don’t care either way.

Now my theory is that Jay Cutler is bad for morale on the Bears. He has proven time and time again that he is not a leader. His facial expressions and body language on the sideline say enough. He always looks like he would rather be anywhere else than playing football. I also look at the players that have left and succeeded in their careers, when apparently the Bears thought they were done or not worth the money.
So over the seasons of watching this happen and coaches coming and going, it blows my mind that the last time the Bears made the playoffs was in 2010. So, I’m honestly convinced that something is wrong with Jay Cutler. You certainly can’t tell me that it is the Bear’s upper management and owners that have caused this team to go downhill. The only think I can think of to say otherwise was the firing of Lovie Smith after a 10-6 season. Now that I think of it, that certainly started the down fall of the team.

Another thing that is mind blowing is the amount of money Cutler is making. He has yet to prove he is worth that money. In the game Monday night he threw his 86th interception. He could hardly hit any of the targets of the night. It was a sloppy game played in all areas. Cutler just doesn’t carry himself like a leader.  The Bears really need to find a way to get a new quarterback if they want to have a chance to be contenders in their division .

For the time being however, the division will be dominated by a strong Green Bay team and a young, up and coming Vikings team. With the addition of Sam Bradford, if he stays healthy, this division won’t be getting any easier for the Bears. So either some find some way to motivate Cutler or move on.

The NFL Really Screwed Up…

By: Brittany Bartgis

The season opener of football started off exactly how I thought with the Broncos offense looking like garbage. As the game progressed they started to play better. However the Broncos defense took things to another level.

The defense started targeting Cam Newton. The three hits to his head were uncalled for. Yes, it is their job to go after the opposing quarterback, but intentionally trying to take him out of the game is uncalled for. The fact that the referees didn’t call a single penalty for the dangerous hits blows my mind. If that had been anyone else it would have been called.

It’s complete bullshit that they let them get away with it in the game. I mean, if the NFL is so concerned about concussions then there should have been penalties and players ejected from the damn game. I don’t care that the NFL came out after and said it was a mistake. It should have never been the case in the first place.

So I say screw the NFL and their blatant lack of respect for Cam Newton. All I can think about is Bounty Gate with the Saints and this shit seems pretty damn close. Great, you fined two players. Big fucking deal! That won’t stop them from doing this shit again.

It maybe early but, My Super Bowl pick!

So let’s shake, rattle, and roll with the hater wave. I’m jumping the gun extremely early with making my opinion on the Super Bowl teams. I always had trouble picking who I thought was going to the Super Bowl previously. This year, I grew a pair and said why the hell not. So a pick has been made. Love it, or hate it, I don’t care.

The two teams that I believe will be in the Super Bowl are the Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots. I hear a lot of whining out there, but trust me it is not getting you anywhere. In my eyes, both teams are poised to have great seasons. They both have relatively easy schedules.

I know that Brady is suspended the first four games on some bullshit, I have faith that Jimmy Garoppolo will get the team to at least 2-2 to start the season. Bill Belichick is a football genius you could say. He manages to always turn a standard group of players, when the starters are injured, into a serviceable, sometimes highly talented team.

I believe they have what it takes to go 12-4 this season, taking the Super Bowl by storm. Now just who might their opponent be??? Did I hear someone say the Packers?!

In my opinion that is my pick for lucky team number two. They as well have a fairly easy schedule. With Green Bay having a healthy, in shape squad this year, their dreams seem extremely easy to obtain. It helps that a few of the rookies drafted this year may get to start based on recent cuts. That’s really what that offense needs are young, strong rookies to keep the pace of the team.

Eddie Lacy will be another large factor with it being a contract year. He has slimmed down quite a bit and seems to be unhindered by injury. Having Jared Cook alongside a healthy Jordy Nelson is making Aaron Rodgers look kind of scary. So I have faith this team can finish the season 13-3.
So who is ready for one killer Super Bowl?! I know I am! Plus, it will be interesting to see how things turn out. I have a feeling that this is the year it all comes back to Titletown! Don’t believe me? Don’t care! You’ll be crying with the rest when I’m right.

What the Hell is Going on?!

First I’ll start with a topic I know everyone is sick of just to get it out of the way.

Colin Kaepernick is being shunned for not standing during the National Anthem?! Seriously America?! You have nothing better to complain or be angry about then this? It blows my mind. I understand that you may not agree with what he is doing, but last I checked in America, it is his RIGHT to be a d-bag.

He made himself look better by kneeling at the next game, but he is starting a trend. More athletes are following suit for the injustices they feel they have suffered. I’m not getting into the politics of it, but each person has a right to do as they please. The NBA is the only sports organization that requires you to stand for the Anthem.

Kaepernick should have gone out and either done drugs or beat a woman…

But, the way I see it, Kaepernick should have gone out and either done drugs or beat a woman and it would have been talked about for no longer then 2 days. Mind you the season opener is around the corner, but this nonsense is more important then getting us hyped for football?

Second issue, Sam Bradford being traded. I think it won’t work out. He didn’t do well with the Eagles. I don’t think tossing him into a subpar Vikings team is going to make him ‘Superman’. Someone said to me ‘He was on a new team with a new offense…’ Well, Sir, what the hell do you think this is?? We will see what happens because it’s too early to tell, but my guess is that AP will have a heavy work load this season.

Manchester United off to a Hell of a Start under Mourinho

Alrighty my friends, I still HATE José Mourinho, but damnit he seems to have put together a killer squad so far. Only 3 games into the English Premiere League season and United has won all three. In my mind the first two games were almost like glorified practices. They played Bournemouth and Southampton, who both are not much of contenders.

The Hull City game was the first semi-test of many greater challenges to come this season. That game tested the stamina of the United players on all fronts. It was great to see everyone working together to make the team successful. The next match on September 10 against Mancher City will be a true first test.

This game is called the Manchester Derby. It is the meeting of Man. City versus Man. United. The first derby took place in 1881 with Man. United winning 3 to nothing. It was described as a pleasant game and then became a every season thing. Man. United has the most wins at 71 and won the derby last season 1 to nothing. This up coming match is a big one and will show all of the true weaknesses of the two teams.

I’m excited for this match and to watch the rest of the season unfold for Manchester United. So far things are working out Mourinho and the players seem to be gelling well. So, let’s root for the damn Reds and look forward to hoisting that trophy at the end of the season!

Bullshit injuries thanks to Lame Preseason

So it’s preseason and the injuries are rampant as usual. This is why I hate the length of preseason. Only two games are nessecary so the rookies can be evaluated. Why risk the health of your starters in games that don’t matter?

Seriously it is bullshit. I hate the Cowboys but now they are missing their starting QB for 8 to 10 weeks. Also, the Ravens lost their tight end. I know injuries are going to happen, but I’d rather those injuries happen in practice or real games.

It pisses me off to no avail to watch players lose their season due to injuries that were more than likely going to happen in practice or actual games.

All the injuries ruin fantasy teams too. Players that would be great in fantasy now have no chance at all. I seriously think preseason should be two games and that’s it. Alas, the NFL wants money and something to talk about when there is no drama to be found. So, I sure as hell hope these last two games for every team go smoothly.

If any more essential players get injured before the start of the season I may kill someone.
