An 11-member Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee unanimously approved a $1.9 billion stadium plan for a stadium in Las Vegas that would seat 65,000 fans.
Their is still one barrier for the Raiders to leap over in order for the move to become a reality as the Governor an legislature still need to vote for the plan to work.
Both the Raiders and Rodger Goodell seem to be in favor of the move. Now it’s up to the State of Nevada to decide if they are willing to dish out $750 million to the project.
In order to remain the top destination, we must explore potential opportunities and push forward to lead this international industry into the next generation of travel and tourism. I am hopeful the work completed by this committee will serve as a roadmap to Southern Nevada’s unrivaled and continued success.” Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval said about the vote to approve the stadium.
