José Mourinho Ropes in Two Big Players, &; May Be Lucky With One More…

First I would like to start off by saying I’m not a fan of the Red Devils new manager José Mourinho.

He doesn’t have the best track record with teams. Yes, he has won trophies with certain teams, then they usually start to deteriorate after a great season. He won Chelsea a trophy then drove the team into the ground the following season.

It makes my heart scream with excitement to see these guys in action.

So far though, Mourinho has been a monster, going after players that no one would expect to sign with Manchester United. He has already told roughly nine players to ‘start packing’. He is serious about the clean up to make room for the new egos arriving to the squad.

The depth that Mourinho has added over the off season includes: forward from PSG, Zlatan Ibrahimović and midfielder from Dortmund, Henrikh Mkhitaryan. These are signed and guaranteed player additions. Both players add major depth to the squad. It makes my heart scream with excitement to see these guys in action.

However, Mourinho is still going after Juventus’ own Paul Pogba. He will be another great addition if they can get the deal locked down. The transfer fee will be the highest paid for any player in the history of the English Premiere league. I fully believe it will happen, just need solid confirmation of the deal. As of right now the fee for Pogba is looking to be roughly 125 million pounds. This better come through! I will be heartbroken otherwise.Pogba started his fútbol career with the Reds at the ripe age of 19. He didn’t flourish well and was transferred to Juventus. While there he transformed into one hell of a player. If he could make a return to Old Trafford that would be awesome. With those three additions alone, it would be a trifecta of greatness.

However, the egos of these three players worry me. You can’t tell Ibrahimović anything. He will always do what he wants. I do not know much about the mindset of Mkhitaryan, so that will be interesting to learn. As for Pogba, even though he is only 23, he seems to have amassed quite the ego. These two; Ibrahimović and Pogba, better not butt heads. If that happens then I can sense mutiny within the squad. Otherwise, so far this squad is shaping up to be one of the best in a long time.

I look forward to the start of the season and seeing what these guys can do.
