Even though he comes across as a clean cut and classy individual and prefers to moonlight as a respectable and honest person, Drew Brees has been hiding a dirty little secret from NFL fans for well over a decade now.
It is time we learn the true identity of Drew Christopher Brees.
Only eight quarterbacks in the entire history of the NFL have thrown for over 4,855 yards in a season.
Drew Brees has averaged that exact number for the 10 years he has played for the New Orleans Saints (2 of those seasons, 2015, 2013, he only played 15 games).
Only twenty-one quarterbacks have thrown 35 or more touchdowns in a season.
Drew Brees has averaged that exact number over the last 10 years.
There have been only 8 seasons in which a quarterback has thrown for over 5,000 yards.
Yes. You guessed it. Four of those belong to Drew Brees. He is the only one who has done it more than once (4 times total) and he had a three year streak of 5,000 or more yards.
Brees owns the second best passing season of all time (5,476 yards), just one yard behind Peyton Manning’s record (5,477 yards).
To top it all off, Brees has a ring after winning the only Super Bowl he has ever played in.
Even though his performance has been unmatched by anyone else over the last decade, Brees has never been rewarded the MVP award.
So why doesn’t anyone want you to know that Drew Brees is by far the most dominant quarterback of this decade?
How is it that he could have the best season of any passer in 2015 and nobody even noticed?
Is it possible that the greatest quarterback in the history of the NFL is tearing up the league every Sunday and we have all chosen to be oblivious?
Or are we simply intimidated that he shattered Marino’s recorded that stood for almost 2 1/2 decades?
Is the NFL afraid to acknowledge that they chose the wrong guys to promote their league?
Or is he just that good that none of us can believe it’s even possible?
Either way, it’s finally out there in the open and it’s time that the quiet family man from down south step out and let the world know that he’s been living a double life.
So when are we going to quit accepting the brainwashing of the powers that be and realize that Drew Brees is a…
BAD, BAD MAN!
And to think the Miami Dolphins could have picked him years ago. Instead they picked the washed up QB from Minnesota? Go figure

Your caption and closing is terribly misleading, extremely disgusting and deveptive. Both unwittingly cast aspersions on Drew Brees. Anyone who reads only the caption of your article will assume Brees lives a loathsome, less than complimentary life.

That’s crazy, bc they had Bob Griese who was also a purdue alum. I wonder if Brees would have been more motivated to go undefeated like Griese if he had been a Dolphin.

Read his book…. They did want him! They wined and dined him!!!! But how they acted about his injury and the fact that New Orleans had just been hit by a hurricane… He saw NO as a chance to heal together!

Think of what would have happened if Brees had gone to Miami…New Orleans would have probably not won a Superbowl, Saban would have not left for Alabama. Tim Tebow would have gone to Alabama (he was committed to the previous coach), Cam Newton would have probably not left Florida, Auburn would have probably not won a National Championship, Alabama would have probably won one or 2 with Tebow, Florida would have probably NOT won–but MAY have with Newton. All the ramification of Drew Brees going to New Orleans.

As a Boiler alum, my 2nd favorite team over the last decade has been whoever is making Phillip “cry me a” Rivers whine each week. I was disappointed when he sat until the 2nd rd. Of the draft but assumed the Chargers would realize quickly that they had won the lottery (another Norm Chow failure for his resume).
Turns out the Saints, after seeing their city destroyed LITERALLY, got the karma windfall. Probably the biggest dis possible, producing as a starter and being traded to a homeless team, Drew met the challenge and excelled!!
Put a city on his (surgically repaired) shoulders (on a too short frame) and lifted the entire city to new heights!!

Drew Brees has been hiding a dirty little secret? What a ridiculous notion. Perhaps somebody else has been hiding something about him, but he hasn’t been hiding anything. I would never read anything else you write. Try your hand at something where being misleading leads to some kind of advantage to the greater good. Maybe the Secret Service?

Does being one of the first people to publicly praise him for his accomplishments when he is being largely ignored count as greater good?

Beating Marinos record in this day in age is not “worthy” of an MVP. Having a bottom 5 defense for most of those years and having to score 40 points a game to keep up
Doesn’t constitute a Hall of Famer. That being said, he is Great at what he does and DEFINETELY put Saints on the map.

The fact that drew doesnt have a defense to rely on like other elite quarterbacks in years past,(rodgers, brady, manning this year) doesnt make his stats any less amazing. The truth is it is much harder for an entire team to rely on one guy to win them every game than for a team to rely on both offense and defense like they should. With a good defense and a defense that causes turnovers drew wins superbowls its that simple. He is one of the greatest quaterbacks of all time like it or not

He has had several top defenses and his numbers have been best with his best defenses. Couldn’t you say the same about Peyton Manning before Denver. Brees is a top five qb all time and is not talked about in that way. He not only beat Marionos mark he is out throwing all of his peers every season. Brady has had to do the least winning his super bowls. Heck his first Super Bowl he threw 3tds in the entire playoffs. I think Brady is actually slightly ahead of Brees because of the rings but IF Brees gets another one I am ready to battle that.

In 2009 drew lost mvp to Peyton Manning even though brees’ numbers were way better. The reason that the nfl gave was Peyton was more valuable of a player to his team. Fast forward to 2011 and rodgers had impressive numbers and so did brees. No argument brees was the more valuable player to his team in 2011. Rodgers had the best receiving core in football and a much better defence. The fact is the nfl has a bias against the saints.

Is it because he is a SAVED, SAVED man? A true born again believer who gives all the credit for his NFL achievements to His Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. I knew this man was a true believer because of his testimony he gave after winning the Super Bowl. I’m a Buffalo Bills fan and don’t really follow the New Orleans Saints, but I had no idea he was this successful on the field. Maybe its because Peyton Manning considers God Almighty as the ” man up there ” but Drew knows Him as KING of KING and LORD of LORDS. This is my suggestive thought as a possible explanation to you question that deserves an answer that really only the NFL can answer.

Brees is the best, hands down. NFL don’t want to recognize him because they just don’t like New Orleans. After they won the Super Bowl, they broke up the team because they seen they was going to be a dynasty. Would have won already 4 Superbowls. But look at the numbers, he’s the best. Deal with it.

Excellent article. Shining a light on Drew is great. I met him in college and he was the real deal then. And I mean as a person and not a football player. He exudes what a champion is. He plays for a team that headhunted it’s way to a Super Bowl championship. Play for a dirty team, lose respect. Simple as that. That was the Viking’s year. Headhunters ended Favre’s career. Ref’s get an assist. Sorry Drew, your coach should have been barred from the NFL. Another dropped ball. Ineffective Goodell moment. No worries, Seahawks & 12’s leveled the playing field the next year. Introducing the Beastquake!

If anyone posting made a negative comment about the article not actually saying something bad about Brees then you are missing the point. This man has been the most consistent and dominant quarterack since 2006 and has only been held back by saints defenses that counteract his productivity…it seems only Proctor & Gamble (Nyquil), Saints fans, and opposing defenses give him his due…but sports “journalists” not so much…every year a story about his age and diminished skills…then he sets records again with non superstar (allegedly) supporting cast…it took a false accusation to bait you into reading what he’s done in this league that NO qb has…

He is a nine-time Pro Bowler, two-time Offensive MVP and Super Bowl MVP. He also plays under a $100 million contract and is a lock HOFer. Is your argument that he’s under-recognized just because he’s never won a league MVP? That award is given based on each year’s performance, so the fact that he has been consistently good across a number of seasons seems sort of meaningless.
