The NFL realeased their playoffs scenarios for the upcoming games, and for the Packers it’s not that complicated at all. All Green Bay has to do to assure themselves a spot in this year’s playoffs, is win their Week 15 matchup against the Raiders.
This should be very good motivation for a team that has been looking to right their ship over the last few weeks, as they go into the Coliseum to face an Oakland team that is coming off an exciting upset victory against the Denver Broncos.
However, the Packers will have to wait until at least Week 16 before they can start thinking about winning the division, and clinching a bye or home field advantage, as their are no scenarios available this week that would make that possible.
Packer fans should be happy about how simple the plan is for their team. Win and your in. For a team that is loaded with experience, talent and potential, that should be a simple task going in against a Raiders team who’s record sits at 6-7. However, the Packers biggest problem this year has been staying focused. This very straight forward plan should help greatly with that problem.
They would need Tampa Bay to either lose or tie tomorrow night on the road against the Rams, and they would need for the Giants to either lose or tie at home against the Panthers, or the Redskins to lose or tie at home against the Bills on Sunday.
- 1. Packers win.
- 2. Buccaneers lose or tie, and Giants lose or tie.
- 3. Buccaneers lose or tie, and Redskins lose or tie.
