The first Packer fan I ran into this morning told me, “It’s obvious that Aaron Rodgers is the reason…
I tried politely to cut him off before he put his foot in his mouth. “The Packers are 8-4 and a half game out of 1st place?” I asked.
He chuckled, “He can’t hit the broad side of a barn.”
“Unless it’s 67 yards away?” I asked.
He dropped his head. “We’ll it’s obvious he’s been struggling, don’t you think? He tried.
“Twelve total touchdowns, in his last 5 games?”
I agree, Aaron Rodgers is a bit… maybe even way off. He looks incredibly jumpy, doesn’t seem to be comfortable in the pocket, and has made some awful throws, but he is still outplaying all but a handful of quarterbacks in the NFL.
He may be a little bit out of form, but Aaron Rodgers isn’t giving up any time soon, and yes, he is the reason every football fan is talking about the Green and Gold this morning. Why every team in contention in the NFC is cheering for his team to lose so they don’t have to face him in the playoffs, and ultimately, why every Packer fan should have a huge smile on their face.
